Heather Rubin - Meet our newest addition, Ms Heather! She will be joining us as our art teacher this summer. She is excited to bring a fresh, engaging approach to arts education by introducing programs that reflect modern interests while grounding students in the core principles of art and design. Since 2021, Heather has been teaching arts and crafts through Mixed Media Arts in Marlton and Cherry Hill, New Jersey, sharing her belief that art is for everyone—regardless of age or ability.
A dedicated community advocate, Heather actively supports local arts initiatives and youth engagement. She is a member of the Voorhees–Gibbsboro Lions Club and the Voorhees Cultural Diversity Committee, volunteers with the Voorhees Art Commission, and participates in STEAM Day programs in Marlton public schools. Her commitment to fostering creativity and inclusion is central to her work both inside and outside the classroom.
Heather began her career as a freelance graphic designer, working in the field for over 20 years before discovering her passion for teaching after becoming a parent. She has also served as a marketing and communications coach for the robotics teams at Cherokee and Lenape High Schools, helping students develop both technical and presentation skills.
Ms. Heather earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of the Arts, where she studied illustration and graphic design, and furthered her training in oil painting at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts.
